Steamed Fish

Since we just bought a new steamer, and someone gave us a very big Lapu-Lapu fish my mom and I decided to cook steamed fish. This is the first time I steamed a fish and don't know how to cook it. The resourceful me looked at some recipes online. And here's what I have come up: Ingredients: 1 Lapu-Lapu, cut into half and score the flesh almost near the bones 2 shallots, thinly sliced 3 cloves of garlic, minced 3 tbsp ginger, pounded 1 chili, minced 1/2 cup Kiko Man 3 tbsp sesame oil 3 tbsp vegetable oil 3 tbsp kinchay, 4 tbsp spring onions Lemon grass 3 cups water salt and pepper to taste sugar, optional Procedure: 1. Clean the fish, taking the guts, gills and scales. Seasoned with salt. Put stalks of lemon grass inside the fish and in between the scored flesh. 2. Put the water at the bottom half of the steamer and add lemon grass leaves. When it comes to a boil, put the other half along with the fish. Steam the fish for 10-12 minutes. 3. Saute onions, garlic, ginger, and chili in vegetable oil. 4. Add the Kiko Man and sesame oil, bring it to a boil. Taste the sauce and adjust the flavor accordingly. 5. Throw in the kinchay and spring onions at the last minute. This recipe is very easy to prepare and quick to cook. All the ingredients can be adjusted according to your preference. Additionally, the sesame oil that I prefer to use is the Korean sesame oil. It has more taste, and has a distinct fragrance. Try this recipe!
